How Is Breast Enhancement Customized for Your Needs?

Breast augmentations, breast lifts, and breast implant removal made up the top three procedures performed in 2018, according to recent data from the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).

Fat transfer enhancement is also growing in interest as an alternative to surgery.

Dr. Pincus offers women several forms of breast enhancement that are all able to correct an array of aesthetic issues.

Breast Augmentation

Known formally as augmentation mammaplasty—and informally as a boob job—breast augmentation is designed to increase and improve breast size and shape.

Most breast augmentation procedures use implants to increase breast size, but fat transfer is also an option.

Saline Breast Implants

These implants are filled with sterile salt water. Saline implants tend to provide a uniform shape and a firm feel.

Structured Implants

These are designed to give the implant a more natural appearance and feel. They are filled with sterile salt water. Dr. Pincus uses the IDEAL implant, which uses multiple silicone channels to provide a soft, natural feel.

Silicone Breast Implants

Silicone implants are the most commonly used type of implant. They are made of both a silicone shell and silicone gel filling to mimic the feel of natural breast tissue.

Fat Transfer

This technique uses fat grafts to enhance and increase breast size. The fat is extracted from other areas of the body, such as the abdomen or back, and is then purified before being injected back into the breasts.

Breast Lift

This procedure helps tighten breast tissue that has started to sag and lose support. A breast lift does not increase breast size, but breasts tend to look more voluptuous because existing tissue is tightened and lifted.

Many women combine a breast lift with breast augmentation techniques for the best results.

Breast Reduction

Also known as reduction mammaplasty, breast reduction aims to reduce breasts that are too large and heavy by removing excess tissue.

Breast enhancement procedures are as diverse as the women who undergo them. This surgery takes existing body shapes, contours, and personal aesthetic preferences into consideration.

Correct Loss of Volume and Sagging

Aging plays a major role in how breasts start to lose elasticity.

As breast tissue loosens, it begins to stretch, sag, and droop. A breast lift can be used to correct these issues and restore breasts to a higher position.

Restore Your Bustline After Pregnancy

Breasts go through tremendous changes during pregnancy and parenthood that leave their mark for years to come. Weight fluctuations during and after pregnancy can also cause breast tissue to stretch, and women who choose to breastfeed may also experience additional drooping.

A breast lift removes excess skin and tightens tissue to restore breast shape for a more attractive and fuller profile.

Women who are looking to increase their breast size can combine their breast lift with implants to achieve their desired outcome.

Reduce Back or Shoulder Problems

Women with very large breasts may struggle with back or shoulder strain. Large breasts tend to weigh more than what the back can support day-to-day. This can cause chronic discomfort and pain and can even affect posture.

Breast reduction surgery also has the added benefit of creating breasts that are more proportional, giving women an attractive hourglass shape.
